It is known as a honeydew, because the bees feed off the sap and resin of the tree rather than from the nectar. Honeydews are high in oligosaccharides, which are known for their prebiotic qualities, aiding digestion and promoting gut health. This honey has a strong, robust taste with hints of woodsy and pine flavours, and a slightly caramel aftertaste.
